President & CEO
Mr. Bernard has over 25 years experience in High Technology and Banking including roles as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for both early stage privately held companies and later stage public companies. Most recently, he served as COO and CFO of ExaGrid Systems, a $40M global provider of backup storage systems. Prior to that Mr. Bernard was the CFO of EqualLogic, a primary storage systems provider that grew rapidly to over $100M in sales and was sold to Dell for $1.4 billion. Mr. Bernard was also the CFO of CareInsite, an early e-health player that went public in 1999 and later sold to WebMd for $2 Billion. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bernard served in senior roles at Thinking Machines, Compugraphic, GCA Corporation, BayBanks, and State Street Bank. He holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.
CTO & Founder
As Chief Technical Officer, Jeff Gallino oversees research, language development, and future product direction. Gallino was President and CEO during CallMiner’s first five years. During that time, he led the company to become an internationally recognized and award winning enterprise software company. Jeff has more than 25 years of experience delivering complex software and hardware solutions to enterprise and government customers. Prior to founding CallMiner, Jeff worked at companies like; ThinkEngine Networks, Grant Thornton Consulting, as well as 11 years in the United States Air Force. He holds a BS degree in computer science from the United States Air Force Academy.
As Chief Operating Officer, Adam Walton oversees CallMiner’s services, development, and support teams in the U.S. and U.K. and will be based at the company’s Boston, Massachusetts, office. After training as an accountant, Walton has 20 years of experience in the software application sector. He joined CallMiner from Ingres, the open source relational database company where he was Director responsible for the Benelux region. Prior to Ingres, he was founder and managing director of an on-line performance management software company. From 1994 to 2001, Walton was Head of Sales and then Director of Acquisitions for fast-growing software company, the Cedar Group, where he led the negotiation and integration of a number of successful corporate acquisitions. Walton holds a BSc Honours degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lane has spent more than 23 years as a finance and accounting professional within the software industry. His experience includes a mix of private and publicly traded companies and includes significant experience in financial reporting, software revenue recognition, systems design and implementations, contract negotiation, international accounting operations and SEC reporting. Mr. Lane has contributed to the success of a number of venture capital backed enterprises, working with companies as they grow from the early revenue stage through significant growth curves and in certain cases through their ultimate sale. Mr. Lane has contributed to the success of Banyan Systems/ePresence, Switchboard, Passkey, Camiant and Tekelec prior to joining CallMiner. Mr. Lane is a 1993 graduate with honors from Framingham State College.
Vice President of Sales & Business Development
Tom Wendt is the Vice President of Sales & Business Development for CallMiner, joining the company in 2012. Tom has over 15 years of leading and growing high technology sales teams. Tom is responsible for the both the US And UK sales operations. Prior to joining CallMiner, Tom worked at Nuance Communications in various sales leadership roles involving Contact Center and speech recognition solutions. Tom holds a Business of Administration from Saint Michael’s College in Winooski VT.
Vice President of Marketing
Scott has 20 years’ experience in software product management, design, and marketing for everything from shrink-wrap consumer applications to enterprise cloud solutions. He introduced the tag-line “Listen to your customers – Improve your business” which is both something he passionately embraces in marketing and production management, and how he articulates the benefit CallMiner Eureka brings to market. Prior to CallMiner Scott was Sr. Director of Global Product Management at MIVA (an internet search marketing company), and Director of Product Management and Marketing for the New Ventures division at Corel Corporation (makers of personal and business software CorelDraw® and WordPerfect®). Scott holds a BScE in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University (Ontario, Canada), and is certified in Pragmatic Marketing and SCRUM.
Vice President, Customer Success
Tony Zavala leads the Customer Success team with responsibility for ensuring that CallMiner customers are armed with the tools, processes, and best practices needed to implement successful speech analytics programs that drive tangible results and return on investment. He has held a variety of contact center leadership roles at Fidelity Investments, Stream International, Time Warner Cable, and E*Trade where he worked to implement new partners, products, and technologies to improve contact center performance and efficiency. Most recently, he was the Senior Director of Professional Services at Nexidia (another speech analytics provider). Tony earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University and completed post-baccalaureate work at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
SVP of Engineering, Product, and Cloud Services
Roderick MacQueen is the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Product, and Cloud Services, leading the Software Engineering, Product Management, Support, and Systems Infrastructure teams. Roderick has over 20 years of experience in both software development and infrastructure management for contact centers. Prior to CallMiner, Roderick was the Vice President of Global Information Systems at the Results Companies, where he expanded the IT and engineering departments to India and the Philippines. Roderick earned his BS in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.
Director of Human Resources
Tracy is the Director of Human Resources and has over 20 years of experience in the HR field from various companies both large and small. Tracy started her career at EMC, then joined Intellidex Systems, LLC, Sybase Inc, and Irrational Games prior to joining CallMiner in 2014 to manage all aspects of HR. Tracy earned a Business Administration degree from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA and holds various HR certifications.
